Yesterday we celebrated Daniel's ninth birthday! He shopped for his own gifts at Toys R Us and our local homeschooling book store. He was very wise with his money and shopped skillfully with Isaac at his side. It was very sweet to see them both having fun choosing new toys. It was a true boy birthday. Daniel brought home Playmobile pirates, knights, indians, cowboys, Lincoln Log Western set, and lots of books. He chose Moby Dick, The Three Musketeers, The Red Pony, and many other exciting titles about the Alamo, bible day heros, and frontiersmen.
Last night Grandma Butler came over for dinner and we all enjoyed Daniel's birthday cake. Kelsey made the cake and Kendal decorated it. Daniel and Kendal had sketched the design the day before. The cake was yummy and looked wonderful.
We are thankful to have such a precious young man in our family! Daniel is growing up so quickly and maturing in his faith everyday.
Daniel is reading his card from Grandma Brenda and Grandad Bill. He had been watching the mail for cards for a few days! This one came right on time.
